ALBERTA [RCMP] - At approximately 6:00 AM, Sunday, June 21st, a single motor vehicle collision occurred on Highway 2, just south of the Highway 27 overpass, near Olds.
It is believed that a southbound Ford Focus left the roadway to the east side, entered the median between the guard rails, and struck a large sign post.
The driver, a 29 year old male from Calgary, died at the scene. There were no other passengers in the car.
The name of the deceased is not being released as the RCMP are attempting to locate next of kin.
