Brockville Police seek help about hit-and-run on Parkedale

Source: Brockville Recorder and Times

ONTARIO -
Brockville Police are looking for information about a hit-and-run motor-vehicle collision on Parkedale Ave. early Friday evening.

Police are hoping to find the driver of a green mini-van, a male identified by witnesses as being in his mid-20s with dark hair, that collided with a Chrysler Neon attempting a left turn into the east entrance of the 1000 Islands Mall about 6 p.m.

Sgt. Andrew Harvie said the Neon was advancing on a left-turn signal when the van, possibly a GM, proceeded from the opposite direction and collided with the passenger side.

Harvie said the impact crumpled the rear passenger door and broke the back axle.

The mini-van, believed to be brown or beige-coloured along the bottom, proceeded eastbound and the licence number was not seen by witnesses.

There were five occupants of the Neon who suffered minor injuries.

Harvie appealed for people with information to contact police at 342-0127.

Either witnesses to the collision or somebody who has seen damage to the front of a green mini-van may have information that would help police, he said.
