Head-on collision in N.B. kills 25-year-old male

NEW BRUNSWICK -
An 25-year-old man is dead following a head-on collision on Highway 11 in eastern New Brunswick Saturday.

RCMP are not releasing the victim's name, or where he is from, until all next of kin have been notified, said Sgt. Claude Tremblay.

The man's car collided with a tractor-trailer about 11 a.m., between Bouctouche and Richibucto, Tremblay said.

A section of the highway was closed for about four hours after the crash for investigation and cleanup, he said.

Police are still trying to determine what caused the crash, but it appears road conditions were fine at the time.

If road conditions can be ruled out all that remains is a steering defect or possible driver distraction. Looking away from the road for more than a second for any reason has proven to be deadly and anyone reading this who has knows what happens - drifting out of the lane, drifting onto the shoulder.
Driving is not about luck.
