Jaws of Life used in Saskatoon morning crash

An early-morning three-vehicle crash at Laurier Drive and Diefenbaker Drive Friday closed the intersection. Firefighters had to extricate a passenger from one of the vehicles.

SASKATCHEWAN -
A crash between three vehicles sent one woman to hospital Friday morning.

Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services arrived at the crash scene at about 8 a.m. Two cars and a half-ton truck had collided at the intersection of Diefenbaker Drive and Laurier Drive. Two fire trucks responded and rescue crews used hydraulic jaws to remove the passenger door from one of the cars.

A female passenger was removed and taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries. The car's driver was uninjured and able to get out of the car before crews arrived.

The driver of the truck, and the female driver of the the other car and her child were not injured.
