Laval collision fatal for 18-year-old teenager

QUEBEC -
A 18-year-old girl died Friday evening, and four other youths, aged 15 to 19, were seriously injured in a road collision involving a vehicle last night in Laval.

About 9pm, the driver of the car, aged 17, lost control of the vehicle which crashed into a tree on Boulevard des Mille-Iles.

A 18-year-old passenger died instantly. Two other passengers were ejected from the vehicle and seriously injured. The driver and another passenger suffered serious injuries.

According to the police department of Ville de Laval, alcohol was not involved, but speed has not been ruled out as a factor.
