The Ministry of Transportation for Ontario responds

by Cindy Smith
Editor, Education for the Driving Masses.com

Last week, I wrote a letter to members of the Ontario provincial Liberal government and to employees of the Ministry of Transportation for Ontario (MTO) expressing my anger and frustration over a press release detailing how the province marked the National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims, a national event held annually every year around the world and having marked its second year in Canada this past November 18th.

I am pleased to announce that the MTO is on-board for next year to help us properly mark the event with a ceremony and will be working with our staff here at Education for the Driving Masses.com, as well as other groups who come to the table, to plan activities for the Toronto area.

I have not heard back from the MPPs I emailed, but this does not surprise me considering they must be too involved with ensuring the appeal for the recent ruling surrounding the stunt driving legislation is being handled accordingly. Oh, and the whole HST nonsense must be a priority, too.

I'll give them more time.
