David Wray, 44, of Carleton Place man died from his injuries
ONTARIO - The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a fatal hit and run collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle Friday at about 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Richmond Road and High Street.
The 44-year-old motorcycle driver, David Wray of Carleton Place, died from his injuries. Police say the man had suffered critical head, chest and internal injuries as well as fractures to his pelvis and to both arms.
Police say the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a small dark-coloured four-door vehicle. The vehicle was last seen going northbound on High Street from Richmond Road.
Anyone who may have witnessed or has information in relation to this incident is asked to call Constable Craig Bowman at 613-236-1222, ext. 2481.

Motorcyclist killed in hit-and-run collision on Ottawa's Richmond Road
ONTARIO - Ottawa Police were investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision Friday between a motorcycle and a small, four-door car at the intersection of Richmond Road and High Street.
The 44-year-old male motorcycle rider died from his injuries after being transported to hospital.
The victim's name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Paramedics arrived at scene to find the motorcyclist without vitals signs. The man had suffered critical head, chest and internal injuries and fractures to his pelvis and to both arms and was declared dead shortly after arriving at hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision, which occurred at 4:14 p.m. fled the scene.
The suspect's vehicle is described as a small, dark-colored four-door car.
It was last seen going north on High Street away from Richmond Road.
Richmond Road remained closed between Grenon Avenue and Pinecrest Road, and police were asking motorists and pedestrians to find alternate routes.
