Richard Kenneth Truchon dies in North Bay Hwy 11 collision

ONTARIO - An Astorville man is dead following an early morning collision on Highway 11 South. A detour is set up at the Lakeshore Drive exit as Ontario Provincial Police investigate.

Richard Kenneth Truchon of South Shore Road died when he lost control of his 2000 Neon and struck a guard rail at about 2 a.m.

A passenger in the car, Sharon Janvier of North Bay, was transported to the North Bay District Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Southbound vehicles are using a detour at the Lakeshore Drive exit and taking Pinewood Drive to the Highway 11 onramp off Highway 654 (Astorville Road).
