Crash kills snowmobiler in Little Grand Rapids MB

MANITOBA - A 43-year-old man from Little Grand Rapids died from a snowmobile crash Tuesday, said RCMP.

RCMP were called around 10:30 a.m. to Family Lake in the Little Grand Rapids community about the crash.

The victim was found unresponsive and was transported to the local nursing station but succumbed to injuries, said RCMP.

A police investigation determined the snowmobiler, who was not wearing a helmet, was riding alone on Family Lake when he lost control of the machine and rolled and landed on a dock.

Alcohol and speed may have contributed to the collision, said RCMP.
