QUEBEC - A woman was killed in a collision between a car and a flatbed truck loaded with sawdust at about noon yesterday on Route 204 in Saint-Gedeon-de-Beauce.
The driver of the car, a woman in her sixties, was apparently distracted by something and veered into the path of the oncoming flatbed.
The driver of the truck could not avoid the collision and the woman was killed instantly.
After impact, the truck overturned in the ditch.
The truck driver was treated for shock.
The woman's name has not been released.
