Highway crash near Manitoba-Sask. border kills 1

SASKATCHEWAN -
A 47-year-old man is dead following a head-on collision near Creighton, Sask., close to the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border. The crash between a truck and a sport utility vehicle happened on Highway 167 at around 2:20 p.m. Sunday, the RCMP said.

The truck crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic and struck the SUV, the RCMP said.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck was killed, while the driver of the SUV and two passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police haven't released the name or home community of the man who died.

RCMP continue to investigate.
