Probe continues into serious pedestrian crash

ONTARIO - Gatineau police pedestrian — Gatineau police are investigating how an 18-year-old man got struck by a car while walking across the Chaudiere Bridge around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

They closed the bridge for five hours to look into the incident, and questioned the driver of the car, who remained on scene.

The man has serious head injuries and remains in hospital. Police say neither speed or alcohol was a factor.
