ONTARIO - A 73-year-old man is dead after he was hit by two cars in succession early Tuesday, and Toronto police say both drivers failed to remain at the scene.
Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck just before 6 a.m.
Police say the driver of a blue Hyundai hit the man. That impact knocked the man to the ground. The driver then fled the scene.
Investigators say a second car then made a right turn and drove over the victim. That driver also failed to remain in the area.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
Police are still looking for the driver of the second car.
The driver of the first car, a 62-year-old woman, was located and charged with failing to stop after a collision involving bodily harm.

Toronto Police locate suspect in fatal hit-and-run
ONTARIO - Toronto police say they have located a woman who is suspected of being involved in a fatal hit and run in west-end Toronto Tuesday morning.
Const. Hugh Smith told CTV News a woman called authorities at around 7 a.m. to say she was behind the wheel when the collision occurred but panicked and left the scene.
Smith said investigators are on their way to speak with the woman to verify her story.
The male victim of the hit-and-run is believed to be in his 60s. He was struck as he was crossing the Finch Avenue and Keele Street intersection at 5:45 a.m.
Witnesses told police they found the man laying on the ground and saw a dark-coloured car leave the scene.
Authorities will remain at the scene throughout the morning in an effort to gather evidence. Police have closed the intersection to traffic in all directions so that they can conclude their investigation. The area is not expected to reopen before noon.
Investigators are still looking to speak to witnesses. Anyone with information is being asked to call police at 416-808-1900 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
