Two die in weekend road crashes in Quebec

QUEBEC - Two people have died this weekend in separate road crashes in Quebec.

The first crash happened on Saturday morning shortly after 6am.

David Hamel, 24, of St. Leonard d'Aston, was traveling on Rang Saint-Joseph when he lost control of his vehicle on a curve. His car struck several trees. Police said Hamel was not wearing a seatbelt.

A collision Friday night in Saint-Anne-de-Sabrevois, Montérégie, killed one and wounded three.

A 19 year old male lost control of his car and hit a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction head-on on Highway 133.

A 34 year old male passenger died and two others along with the driver were also injured.
