Marie Michèle Goudrault, 19, dies after car hits salt truck in La Malbaie

QUEBEC - A woman died when her car slammed into a salt truck about 6:10 Saturday morning in La Malbaie, about 400 kilometres east of Montreal.

The woman, Marie Michèle Goudrault, 19, from nearby Baie Ste. Catherine, was driving west on Rte. 138 at the corner of Bergeron Rd. when she lost control of her car. She crashed into the salt truck, which was heading east, and was later declared dead in a hospital. The driver of the salt truck was not harmed.
